After reading all the latest entries, my mind is so full of all your news. I want to start by saying how thankful I am to be able to share with you ladies. You are all an inspiration to me. Your responses and encouragements to one another are so uplifting. It's the best type of support group and I just wanted to thank you all for allowing me to be a part of that. I love you all!
I don't necessarily have a top ten list of things remembered from the past year, although I've certainly been abundantly blessed. I don't even have a list of resolutions for the new year, although I have goals I'd like to accomplish. (If I can stay awake long enough to focus!) One thing I'm so thankful for is the relationships I'm developing with Jenna and Alyssa. They are so special to me. I LOVE being aunt gigi and seeing their faces light up when they see me. Sometimes I could cry from sheer happiness over it all. Sometimes they make me laugh so hard I can barely breathe! When Jenna hugs me or Alyssa lays her little head on my shoulder, I feel all is right with the world... Nothing else matters.
Will and I will be going on five years of marriage this year. I remember hearing everyone say, "The first five years are the toughest." We have had many ups and downs, but I'd say more good times than bad. I'm truly blessed to have this loving Christian man by my side. Yeah, I have to rib him and sometimes I'm a grouch, (yes, really, can you believe it?? hehehe..) He puts up with me though.
My fun (usually Friday nights when Will is working late) nights with Mom and Miranda are a blessing to me. We usually do a lot of laughing and catching up with each other. I think this has been a big healing process for us this past couple of years. I look forward to these times.
John and Amy have a beautiful new home to raise the girls in. I thank God they are raising them in a godly home and are great Christian parents. I'm really proud of them.
I am really loving teaching the Ladies Sunday School class. Who would have thougth that I'd be teaching a class again, let alone adults! I praise God for the opportunity He has given me and hope that I'm doing His will.
One thing I would like to be able to accomplish this year is to be able to add some pictures to this blog. I see all of you have really nice pics, whether personal or from the internet, and I'm just a little jealous of your computer abilities! So, I'm gonna have to have emjaye come back over an show this computer illiterate brain of mine how to accomplish this task! Do you think I can do it? It remains to be seen.

Oh, you'd be surprised what you can do on these computer things. But, first things first...let's get that digital camera going, lol. Or is it outdated already?? :)
Glad to see your praises and happy thoughts. Although we can't say the last couple of years have been easy, we can definitely say God has been with us through it all and that's what truly matters in this life! I'm happy that you are blogging and adding to this fun pasttime! And, thanks SOO much for being a loyal tt4Him reader, LOL. That's my favorite blog to write and most important I feel. It's nice to see your thoughts.
Keep up the good teaching...it won't be long till the books and speaking engagements, :)))
Gigi, that was the sweetest thing to read!!! :) I almost stopped reading at the part about Jenna and Alyssa (to go make a comment and then, come back and read the rest). The part about the girls hit home w/me as well. I know exactly what you mean! Gracie does the same thing for me! :))) I can be having the worst day or feeling real down, but if I go see Gracie, it is like a huge burden has been lifted! Their sweet little loving faces just make everything right! Being an aunt is one of the greatest gifts and I love it, too!!!
What great thoughts to start out the new year! We all have so many things to be thankful for. It is so easy to forget and take them for granted. Thanks for reminding me of all I have to be thankful for, too!!!! :))
Btw, we are glad you joined the blogging team as well. Each one of my blogger buddies is a treasure to me! :) As for the pics, you don't even want to know how long it took me to learn it. Mark used to have to blog all my pics for me 'cause I couldn't do it! LOLOLOL!!! :) Finally, a long time later, I got it! :)) LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!! I don't know if Mark does it the same way other people do or if it is some goofy programmer way! But, at least I can do it now myself. :)) Looking forward to seeing your pics!!!!!
Your happiness shines through in your writing . God has blessed you with a wonderful family, but I think you are a true blessing to them, too. I know you have always been a blessing in my life. There is never an Easter or a Christmas that goes by I can't hear your voice singing specials on Sunday mornings. You always had a smile ready, and a little giggle. I love the fact that you are now blogging.
Speaking of blogging. It took me a while to learn to do pictures on the site. I do have a suggestion that might help you. One night, at 1:30 am, when you have tried and tried to figure it out on your own, threaten to throw the computer out of the window. It will begin to cooperate a little better after that! I am still wondering if the computer heard me and got nervous, or if JIM heard be and got scared! Either way, it worked for me! lol
